Get Creative with your Baking or Making Ideas for MSAD 24 January 2015

There are hundreds of ways to raise money – at home, at work, at play. You’re only limited by your imagination. So let it run wild…. here are a few ideas to get you started!

Purple Tie Day – Charge your male colleagues £1 to wear their loudest purple tie to work

Cake Bake – Bake some cakes – don’t forget the purple icing – then invite friends for afternoon tea or take to work and sell for £1 each

Dress down or up Day – Pay to wear purple clothes at work or school – or go really mad and dye your hair purple for the day

Face Painting – Get creative – have a purple face paint day at school or club

Loom bands – Get the children involved – make purple creations and sell them

Karaoke – Organise a charity karaoke evening in your local club or pub – donate the entry fees – and make sure ‘Purple Rain’ is on the list!

Woollie minded – Knit or crochet purple decorations or toys and sell them

There are so many ways in which you can take part… the only limit is your imagination!

Please always check with your local council and appropriate bodies to ensure you don’t require any consents, special or additional insurance etc for raffles, catering. We cannot take responsibility for events which do not have these in place if they are needed.

Go social – Variation on above – make your mask and post it on your facebook page and nominate your friends to do the same – don’t forget to tag the MRT page too!

Raffle – Have a purple themed raffle at work on your local pub/club

Painting competition – Hold a competition at school for the best purple picture – we can supply a prize for the winner

Get glamorous – Paint your nails purple for the day – and pay a fine for the privilege

Flower Power – make some purple arrangements and sell them to friends

Make a mask – Follow the theme of the 2014 conference – make a purple mask – have a competition or pay a fine to wear it at school
