FUNDRAISING

By helping us through fundraising you can make a real difference to children and families affected by Moebius Syndrome. We appreciate all the support people give and if you have any ideas and would like some help, please contact Alison.

Here are a few ideas of how you can get involved:

Sponsored Events: There are organised events across the country – some of the most popular are marathons and walks organised in towns and cities. You might have a place through a ballot – but for events like The Kiltwalk you can register to take part and when you complete the entry form simply select Moebius Research Trust as your charity.

Collection Tins – It is surprising how much can be raised by leaving collection tins in your local shops. Please contact us and request some tins.

Donate while you shop, at no extra cost to you, by registering with EasyFundraising.

Raise money through Ebay – Do you sell anything through e-bay? If so, you can use their charity link Missionfish and donate a percentage of your takings. Click here to find out how.

Our Facebook Page also provides an excellent opportunity for you to communicate with others with the Syndrome and find regular up to date information.

Lots of supporters sent up fundraising sponsorship pages on JustGiving who we are registered with, but if you use another platform, please let us know.

Make a donation – You can make a one off donation or set up a regular amount via our JustGiving page. Many people also use this to raise funds from an event or sponsored challenge they’ve organised themselves.

Others support Moebius Research Trust through donations in memory of a loved one or to celebrate birthdays.

Here are some other ideas… If you are looking for inspiration for how to start fundraising, below are some ideas:

  • Some employers like to have a charity of the year to support – why not suggest your company supports the Moebius Research Trust
  • Why not bake a cake and host a tea party! You invite friends round and provide tea and cake, in exchange for a donation to the Moebius Research Trust
  • Why not ask your employer if you can have a ‘Dress Down Day’ at work and ask people to make a donation to Moebius Research Trust.
