Conference 2026: “Connected by Experience. United by Hope”
Friday 6th November 2026
The fourth Moebius Research Trust conference will be held again at the Institute in the Park at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
The event will run from 10.30am to 5pm (registration from 10am) and includes lunch as well as arrival and afternoon refreshments. We have kept prices as low as possible – £22 for adults, £11 for children (5-12 years) and no cost again for under 5s. This year we have an online booking system, so to reserve your place please following the conference booking link.
We are still finalising the programme – but to date our confirmed professional speakers are: Chris Grime, Stephen Morley, Pundrique Sharma, Bryn Webb and Alex Woollard. We will also have individuals and Mums sharing their story about life with Moebius Syndrome and have some updates from Kristy about the online workshops.

Online Workshops
Following our initial online workshops, hosted by Kristy in 2025, we are now looking to develop these and are asking people who would be interested in attending to email kristy@moebiusresearchtrust.org.
To build up the next programme of workshops, we’d love to hear of any specific suggestions to topics to include for discussion. Each session (lasting 1 – 1½ hours) will be designed for either families, parents, adults, young people or everyone – as we understand there are different aspects people are interested in.
We will also take the opportunity at the Conference in November to share more information and get ideas from attendees of how these can work best.
Moebius Meet up UK

Workshop July 2025 – teenagers/young people
Our first online workshop introduced a variety of topics including:
• Promoting positivity
• Self help, tips and guidance
• Confidence and character boosting
• Social media influence vs reality education
• Ice breaker games and fun social interaction activities

Conference 2024
The charity’s third conference was a great day with speakers from the UK and USA sharing developments in research, new techniques, updates on new networks and specialist areas of support as well as personal experiences. There were also opportunities to have breakout sessions with specialist consultants and private sessions with Adelene O’Connor (Psychologist). The charity also announced the launch of it’s own grant giving programme which will open in September 2024 with the first awards being given in December 2024.

Conference 2019
